World Values Survey Association Statement on the War in Ukraine

The World Values Survey Association (WVSA) joins other members of the international scientific and research community to express our deepest concerns and condemnation of the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine.

This unprovoked armed attack violates international law respecting the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of all independent nation states. Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, which the Russian Federation has endorsed, specifies that “All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any State, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.

The World Values Survey Association expresses solidarity with all the peoples suffering from the war in Ukraine. We wish their loved ones safe. We stand by peace.
